A&K Robotics is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage our expanding fleet of robots and ensure the highest levels of customer success.

As part of the team, you will be expected to build and manage infrastructure for automation of workflows, actively manage field operations, and maintain clear communication channels between multiple stakeholder groups. We are looking for a self-starter who can work under minimal supervision and as part of a diverse team, to solve some of the hardest problems in the industry, and to accelerate the performance of our products and services.


  • Develop and manage monitoring, analytics and reporting systems for robot operations
  • Build applications and cloud infrastructure to automate workflows
  • Engage in commercial operations and in-house testing of robot fleets
  • Influence the full lifecycle of robot operations – from design, through to deployment, operations and refinement
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with customers to maintain high-quality service standards
  • Meticulously maintain technical documentation for workflows and best practices
  • Participate in R&D and present data-driven solutions for continuous process improvements


  • Able and willing to work weekends and night shifts. Due to the nature of testing and operations schedules, this job schedule is typically 6pm to 3am
  • 2+ years experience with a high-level programming language, preferably C++ and/or Python
  • Know your way around a Linux shell
  • Excellent communication skills, report writing, documentation skills
  • Mastery of English, written and oral (you are a fluent or native speaker)
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • High-level of organization - must be a detailed-oriented, "on it" person
  • Assist and participate in the testing activities of our robotic platform in lab and on-site
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all details, plans, strategies and communications relating to our technical, trade secret and business information
  • Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally, including to the US


  • Proven you are a master gamer with exceptional hand-eye coordination
  • Monitored and managed a significant number of servers (ideally Linux)
  • Experience with virtualization tools like Docker
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Service (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with web development languages and frameworks
  • Experience with robotics and electronics
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge and experience in both a technological and business/customer service capacities
  • BONUS points if you are fluent in any of the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, German or Vulcan
