We are looking for a Solutions Development Lead in our Vancouver BC office.
The Solutions Development Lead will supervise a small team to design, architect, develop, enhance and maintain software solutions that Fujitsu markets, sells and supports. The team takes promising technology from inside and outside the company and brings it to a level of commercial maturity as an offering.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned software engineering manager, with extensive experience developing software requirements, performing code design, debugging and analyzing code performance, and documenting software functionality. We are looking for candidates that are experienced in the full software development lifecycle, have excellent architecture skills, and understand enterprise quality software and security requirements.
We are looking for someone who is capable of providing hands-on technical leadership along with the capability to lead and build a talented engineering team around them. During this time the ability to work with remote and local teams is preferred.
Experience taking solutions to the Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) is expected. Knowledge of microservice architecture (Spring Boot, Java, etc.) is helpful to the position. Understanding of scaling issues and productization is also helpful.
Develop design requirements, perform code design, debugging and analysis, and software document
Solve Platform integration problems.
Experienced with full software development life-cycle (SDLC), have good architecture skills such that things like maintainability and testability are planned and addressed in development
Generate written reports and documentation as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.
Work on high-level task definitions and able to independently manage quality execution
10 Years Software Engineering experience
5 or more years leadership experience
Passion for solving complex problems at scale
Adaptability to new technologies
Strong system design and architecture experience
Cloud experience (AWS or Google or Azure)
Agile and SCRUM project management experience
Experience using Azure DevOps, Github, Slack and other Agile Tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Solutions Architect experience
Java Development Experience (J2EE, Spring Boot, etc.)
Understanding of DevOps, and experience with Azure and/or AWS
Test Driven Development experience
Cloud messaging experience (Kafka, etc.)
Container Experience (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Containers)
Experience in Big Data, AI and Machine Learning
Computer Vision and/or AI Image Recognition experience
Neural Networks, model creation in a production environment
